The historical reenactment in the Palanok Castle has taken place many times. However, this year, the Creative Justice Department used the "Wedding of Ilona Zrinyi and Imre Thokoly" to advertise the next service – marriage in 24 hours – and to advertise tourist attractions in the region.
"During the All-Ukrainian seminar with the heads of the State Registrar’s departments, our friends and colleagues learned about the history of Transcarpathia during the visit to the place that every local resident is proud of – the Palanok castle in Mukachevo. A solemn event – "marriage in 24 hours" of Ilona Zrinyi and Imre Thokoly – took place there. The wedding in true medieval traditions took our guests to that historic era. The guests also listened to an tour conducted by a monk-chronicler", – the Transcarpathian Justice Department informed.
