Today, March 19, the charity children’s race "Run – Help" dedicated to the International Day of Happiness took place in the center of Uzhgorod, the correspondent of the UNN informs.

Several dozen participants gathered on Teatralna Square to support the charity initiative of the organizers "Miss Transcarpathia" and Uzhgorod running club, that this year set a goal to raise funds for the arrangement of a unique playground for children with special needs in Uzhgorod.

The first to start the race were adults of 15 and over, who ran the longest distance from Teatralna Square via the pedestrian bridge, Kyivska embankment, transport bridge, Nezalezhnist embankment, and finished back on Teatralna Square. The following three age categories – 0-5, 6-8, 9-14 years – competed in the race at various distances, running with obstacles, etc.

"Every year, we hold various events, but this year we have a special goal – to raise 150,000 UAH for the arrangement of a unique playground for children with special needs, which has no analogues neither in Uzhgorod nor in Transcarpathia. We already have permission from the city council for the arrangement of the playground in the Rotary Park. Now we want to get townspeople and patrons involved in the implementation of our idea. Today’s event is a part of the plan. We have alsready conducted master classes and disco for kids,there will also be a number of events in Mukachevo" – one of the organizers of the charity event Nadia Puga told the correspondent of the UNN.
