In early June, H. Moskal made a working visit to Romania and met with the owner of the railway depot, which restores retro-locomotives and carriages to them, – the official website of Hennadiy Moskal informed.
The head of the Regional State Administration commissioned the restoration of two old passenger cars and one locomotive with the replacement of wheel pairs for the Borzhava narrow-gauge railway. Since government bodies can not finance the restoration and purchase of locomotives with cars, a charitable fund "Restoration of the Borzhava narrow-gauge railway" was opened for the implementation of this project.
The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration personally transferred 25 thousand hryvnais to the account of the charity fund "Restoration of the Borzhava narrow-gauge railway".
– This money will be used for the purchase of two passenger cars and a locomotive, which will be restored in Romania, delivered to Transcarpathia and transferred to the balance sheet of the "Ukrzaliznytsya", – Hennadiy Moskal said. – By the way, the amount of 25 thousand hryvnias is not subject to declaration. I urge everyone, who cares about the fate of Antsya Kushnytska (as Borzhava narrow-gauge railway is informally called), to contribute to its restoration and to transfer any amount to the account of the charity fund. We will periodically publish the names of sponsors in the media subject to their consent.
