More than 1.5 million hryvnias were allocated from the city budget for the construction of new enclosures on the territory of the temporary shelter for animals, which is maintain by the NGO "Barbos", as well as buildings for food preparation.
The new premises will be able to accommodate about 50 more animals.
There are now more than a hundred dogs, three dozen cats in the shelter, but the volunteers say the number of homeless animals is growing, and every one needs to be fed, cared for, and sometimes treated.
All this requires large expenditures – of money, effort, energy.
