Foresters state that not all people obey the request “Do not litter!”

Since the weather now is nice, many people go to picnics in the forest or near the water. But what is the joy of good pastime for some people is a headache for others.

Rules of conduct in the forest are simple, however, not many people adhere to them.

Foresters are trying to ensure pleasant rest of our citizens in the woods. Along the roads, in picturesque corners, there are specially equipped recreation locations with tables, benches, places for fire and garbage bins.

Creating a network of such locations in forests is one of the important measures for forest protection. However, unfortunately, not all people obey ther request "Do not litter!".

The Administrative Code provides that littering in forests entails imposition of fine on citizens in amount of 25 to 50 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens, and on officials in amount of 50 to 100 tax-free minimum incomes.

It is five times more than that in the last year. That is, for damaging or littering in forest citizens will have to pay 425 to 850 UAH, and officials – 850 to 1700 UAH.
