“For Our and Your Freedom”: an exhibition on the occasion of the opening of the Czech Center representative office was presented in Uzhgorod

The thematic exhibition "For Your and Our Freedom 1968-2018" was presented today in the Historical and Cultural Center "Owl Nest" on the occasion of the opening of Uzhgorod representative office of the Czech Center in Kyiv at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine.

The Mayor of Uzhgorod Bohdan Andriyiv greeted the audience and said that the special feature of this exhibition was that it begins the celebration of the 1126th anniversary of Uzhgorod and the 100th anniversary of the official name of the city.

The Director of the Czech Center in Kyiv Lucia Rzegorzikova also addressed the audience. In particular, she told about the opportunity to learn Czech at the certified courses from the center.

At the 24 stands, you can see biographies of people who were repressed by the Soviet system. For the most part, those are little-known persons whose biographies are also noteworthy. In particular, there is information about Roman Hryn from Uzhgorod, who also participated in protests against Soviet troops in Czechoslovakia.

The exhibition "For Your and Our Freedom 1968-2018" will last for two weeks.
