“First Schoolbag” in Uzhgorod: first-graders were prepared to school

The campaign was conducted in the puppet theater "Bavka" by employees of Uzhgorod city center of social services for family, children and youth together with the charitable foundation "Caritas" and the Transcarpathian center of NGO "Kolping in Ukraine".
The initiative was also supported by the public, and through the joint efforts of Uzhgorod City Council (80 backpacks with orthopedic backs were purchased at the expense of the city budget), as well as the above organizations and Uzhgorod citizens, the necessary school supplies were provided for 138 Uzhgorod children from large and needy families, families of ATO participants, internally displaced persons, families in difficult circumstances, and Roma children.

The schoolbags contain usual supplies: diary, writing and drawing notebooks, pencil case, folder, pens, pencils or felt pens, paints, ruler, eraser and more. Today, 90 schoolchildren were given such school kits. And the rest will be presented to first graders during the holiday of September 1.

In addition, before receiving the first schoolbags, the children watched the performance of the regional puppet theater "Bavka" and also played a game of "Jenga", where they could win more school supplies as prizes.
