First loss on Uzhgorod “Trail of stories”

On the eve of the celebration of the Day of Uzhgorod, an innovative tourist route "Trail of stories" was opened in the city. The idea is quite interesting – small signs with QR-codes were installed in sidewalks in different places near interesting historical monuments and attractive tourist sites. By scanning them with smartphones, visitors can learn more about the sites, discover the stories associated with the past of Uzhgorod and Transcarpathia. Also, the next site can be found using pointers.

Although there were certain complaints about the quality of installation of the plates and signs, people liked the idea in general.

But today, these "historic trails" suffered the first loss: the sign on Korzo street, on the bend to Teatralna square, is gone. Only a small white piece of it remained in the middle of the cement island in the pavement.

We do not know whether it was broken by night vandals or damaged by heavy construction machinery that constantly drives in this area. Neither we know which cultural or historical monuments this pointer directed to.

Maybe, to the complex "Crown"? Then it is logical – since the "Crown" has been irreversibly destroyed, then it makes no sense to point to it…
