The working group of employees of several departments and divisions of Uzhgorod city council, the Road Safety Sector of the Patrol Police Office in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo will go to the center of Uzhgorod to once again study the traffic management on Koryatovich square – Fedynets street.
This decision was taken recently at the meeting of the comission for road safety and coordination of transportation of Uzhgorod city council.
The problem of traffic in the center of Uzhgorod has long been discussed, but there is no clear vision of its solution.
On the ground, they should determine the feasibility of arrangment of another bus stop on Chornovil street, a pedestrian crossing on Slovyanska embankment. And stops in the city for the suburban bus from Korytnyany to the Airport "Uzhgorod" for several reasons were not approved at the meeting. Installation of a traffic sign "Bus Stop" on Hrushevsky street near the shop "Ocean" was also recognized unfeasible.
The Commission has instructed the Department of Municipal Economy of the City Council to arrange a pedestrian crossing on Peremoha street, near the supermarket "Velmart" and a traffic sign "Pedestrian crossing" near house №12 on Universytetska street.
At the meeting of the commission, they also agreed to consider the possibility of moving final bus stops on Koryatovich square and Chornovil street, – the press service of Uzhgorod City Council informs.
