The Round Table initiated by the NGO "Transcarpathian Film Commission" took place today. The theme of the round table was the development of film education in Transcarpathia.
The event was attended by the heads of the Department of Education of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and educational institutions of the city.
The discussion of this topic takes place while the film industry is rapidly developing in Ukraine.
After the International Conference on "Co-production in the framework of cross-border cooperation" in the city of Uzhgorod, following panel discussions and consultations, it was recommended to hold a round table in order to consolidate the efforts to teach film production to future specialists in the creative and technical professions trained by the educational institutions of the region, and to launch a film education system in Transcarpathian region.
The participants of the Round table agreed on the relevance of this topic and expressed their interest in working on the solution of these issues. During the discussions, the participants stated the need to create joint educational projects, as well as noted the already existing staffing capacity of qualified teachers of certain disciplines in the field of cinema.
Taking into account the discussed, the participants of the Round Table decided to prepare an appropriate appeal to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers. It was also decided to entrust the coordinating function on communication and development of projects in the field of cinema education, exchange of experience, organization of master classes, open lectures, special courses to the NGO "Transcarpathian Film Commission".
