Film “Frost” in the regional library

On Wednesday, April 10, at 5:00 pm, the screening of the film "Frost" will take place in the Transcarpathian Regional Scientific Universal Library within the framework of the All-Ukrainian festival "New Ukrainian Cinema".

   "Frost" is a Lithuanian, French, Ukrainian, and Polish co-production, a 2017 war drama about the war in the Donbass. The film was made by Lithuanian director Sharunas Bartas with the financial support of the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema, the Lithuanian Film Center, the German-French TV channel ARTE and the Polish Film Institute.

 In 2017, the film was selected for the "Directors Fortnight" program at the 70th Cannes Film Festival. In July 2017, the film participated in the international competition program of the 8th Odessa International Film Festival for the main prize – Golden Dyuk. In August 2017, the film was included in the long-list of the European Film Academy Award. It was also nominated by Lithuania for the American Academy Award in the nomination "Best Foreign Language Film".

  From March 1 to April 30, the first film club festival "New Ukrainian Cinema" is being held in Ukraine. Anyone can hold the festival in their city – curators of film clubs and activists, who can offer space for shows, are invited to cooperation. To do this, you need to leave an application on the site of the project "Film Club. All-Ukrainian Network". The rights to films are granted for non-profit screenings.

      The festival is organized by the "Arthouse Traffic" company with the support of the State Agency of Ukraine on Cinema.
