Today Fedir Vashchuk will be appointed as the rector of UzhNU. This became known to uzhgorod.in from its own sources. According to pro-rector of UzhNU Vasyl Lemak, at 12:00, at the Faculty of Economics the meeting of the managerial staff of the University with the participation of the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda will be held. Probably the appointment of the new acting rector of the University will be announced there. It is unknown whether this means the amalgamation of two universities – UzhNU and TSU.
We asked for confirmation of the information to Fedir Vashchuk himself.
"It is appropriate to ask those who appoint – he replied. "Until the appointment is realized, I shall not comment. However, I can tell you that you are not far from the truth."
So far the order on the appointment has not been published on the official website of the Ministry of Education.
