Famous Ukrainian counterintelligence officer, a native of Transcarpathia, has died

The founder of the Department of Counterintelligence Protection of State Interests in the Field of Information Security Vitaliy Khlevitsky died on August 8.

This was announced by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Khlevitsky was one of the first to foresee the importance of information security of Ukraine in today’s difficult conditions.

Vitaliy Khlevitsky was born on June 24, 1968 in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathian region. In the course of his service, he received high state and departmental awards.

"Vitaliy Khlevitsky will be remembered as a loving man, a talented, determined, open, intelligent and responsive colleague, leader and friend. And the work that he started will continue to be one of the components of ensuring the security of Ukraine!" – the statement reads
