Families of border guards in Transcarpathia have received keys to the apartments

In Transcarpathia, the head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Colonel General Viktor Nazarenko handed appartment keys to 40 border guards of the Chop detachment of the Western Regional Department. In particular, 7 participants of the antiterrorist operation received orders for apartments.

The solemn event on the occasion was attended by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal, the head of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Volodymyr Egorov, representatives of local authorities, border guards’ family members and veterans.  

This year, UAH 60 million are provided in the state budget for the State Border Guard Service for the construction and reconstruction of 15 residential units.

"Improving social welfare of the personnel is one of the priorities in the reform of our service. And today I have a great pleasure to hand over the keys to new apartments to border guards of the Western Regional Department, including the ATO participants and veterans of the service" – the head of the border guard service Viktor Nazarenko said during his speech.

40-apartment section is the third and the last phase of construction of a 75-apartment house in Chop. This building meets all modern criteria and standards. Apartments are equipped with individual heating network, hot and cold water, gas stoves, necessary sanitary facilities and electricity.

The total cost of the construction the last section of 40 apartments was UAH 12.5 million. It should be noted that the cost of 1 square meter of the total area is less than the average price of housing in Transcarpathian region.
