And the body of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Captain Roman Bashnyak, which was buried mistakenly instead of the Transcarpathian in Tyachiv, was taken by his relatives for reburial home in Vinnytsia.
Until recently, all were convinced that Roman Kozychko was already resting in Tyachiv cemetery. However, the doubt was raised with the unexpected news spread recently in social network by a volunteer from Beregovo Yaroslava Fedur. The woman said that in Tyachiv, instead of a soldier of the 128th Brigade Roman Kozychko, who died near Debaltseve, a soldier from the 30th Brigade Roman Bashnyak had been mistakenly buried.
According to the brother of the fallen hero Ivan Kozychko, he found out that he had buried not his brother from a Dnipropetrovsk investigator. He called Ivan last Saturday and asked to come to the local morgue for identification of the deceased. So, the man went to Dnipropetrovsk where he identified the body of Roman and brought it home. And on Tuesday, July 21, there was the exhumation of the body of Roman Bashnyak and the burial of Roman Kozychko.
The funeral was attended by relatives and friends of the deceased.
The body of a soldier Roman Bashnyak was taken home in the city of Pohrebysche in Vinnytsia region by his brother Pavlo. The funeral will be held tomorrow, July 23.
