Today, the Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko held a working meeting on the pilot project on energy savings with the Director of the Department of Environment Vitaliy Semal, the Director of the Department of Education Mykhailo Motylchak, the deputy chief of the Department of Health Yelizaveta Birov, the chief doctor of the regional clinical infectious deseases hospital Mykhailo Poliak, the director general of a specialized boarding school with intensive study of certain subjects of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Olena Ishchenko, the chief doctor of the children’s specialized pneumonolgy sanatorium "Malyatko" Galina Moroz and a representative of the company, which cooperates with public establishments of the region Serhiy Petrov.
Pilot projects will be implemented this week. The experts conducted energy audits in three Transcarpathian institutions. The experts claim that it is possible to reduce water consumption by 50%. At the regional pulmonology sanatorium "Malyatko", 26,000 UAH investment in the equipment can save 180,000 UAH in a year. Investing 42,000 UAH in the equipment at the Uzhgorod special boarding school, it is possible to save 150,000 UAH. The regional infectious diseases hospital annually spends 418,000 UAH on water and wastewater. To save 50%, it is necessary to invest 72,000 hryvnia there. On Tuesday, specialists started working at the sites and installing the equipment. The works will be completed by the end of the week. Payments will be made in three months, if the promised savings of water will be recorded in these institutions.
