Today is the International Students’ Day. For the first time this holiday was celebrated in 1941 in London by the International Student Council, that chose the date November 17 to commemorate the Prague students who fought against fascism and died in October 1939.
Today’s students have other problems. Among them is a job search during training and after graduation.
Discussion on "Where can a student make a living?" proved that stereotypes about the requirements of a potential employer to an emloyee are somewhat outdated, writes UBR. Thus, an employer primarily wants students and graduates who know what they want to achieve. In particular, they often hire students who have an average level of performance, but play sports or do creative work, participate in volunteer programs and know at least two foreign languages.
Grades for students are important, but not essential. The Dean of the Law Faculty of the Sumy National Agrarian University Svitlana Zapara, for example, is convinced that a student should be happy and harmoniously developed person. According to psychologist Tatiana Motruk, a graduate should be happy and confident person.
