Eleven open manholes on the same street in Uzhgorod (Photo-fact)

A reporter of the online edition zakarpatpost.net photographed eleven open manholes on Komendar (Jambul) street in Uzhgorod. 

The drains have been like that for more than a week. There is even last year’s rubbish in some of them.

It’s a shame, because the educational complex "Prestige" is located on this street, and many children walk there. Where the covers disappear is anyone’s guess… Some of them rot due to age, and others get stolen by metal thieves who still remain unpunished.

But public utilities should not forget: if an accident happens, they will bear responsibility for their inaction.
