Electricity tariffs for household will be reviewed on February 24

The National commission for regulation in the energy and utilities plans to revise tariffs for electricity for household consumers on February 24.

The item "on tariffs for electricity sold to the population" is included in the agenda of the regulator meeting published on Thursday night.

As reported, previously the commission reviewed the electricity tariffs for households on June 1, 2014, increasing them by 10-40% depending on its consumption.

The maximum increase in electricity tariffs for households at 40% was set only for those who consume more than 800 kWh per month.

The National Commission carries out the state regulation of natural monopolies in the fields of electricity supply, heating, oil and gas sector, water supply and sewerage, treatment and disposal of waste and ensures the implementation of price and tariff policy in these fields.
