“Eat pancakes – help the army!”

At the Uzhgorod "Palachinta", there will be military-themed events

In the Uzhgorod Press Club, there was a press conference where the organizers of the "Uzhgorod Palachinta-2105" with volunteers of the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers told about charity aspect of this year’s event.

Among the many different kinds of enterntainment at this year’s "Palachinta", there will be quite a few military-themed ones. While some will make a giant camouflage net, others will be able to learn to assemble and disassemble machine-guns. Special attention will be paid to lovers. They will have a chance to have a real wedding ceremony. And for those, who are still looking for love, the most famous gypsies in the world Morgita and Angela will be telling fortune. In general, the holiday will be very busy. It will be interesting for everybody, everyone will have the opportunity to participate in the raffle of gifts in a win-win lottery and to take part in a range of other activities.

"Some people say that now is no time for enterntainment. Our opinion is that each canceled holiday is a small victory for Putin" – Serhiy Denisenko, a co-organizer of the festival "Uzhgorod Palachinta" said. Many events turn into social and charity projects. This year we are holding the Palachinta together with the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers, the money raised at the festival will be used for the needs of the army."

Maria Vovk, volunteer of the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers said that in addition to military aggression, there is also psychological warfare in Ukraine. Therefore holidays are helpful in such times. "All businesses participating in the festival pledged to transfer 5% of the revenues to the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers. There will be a lottery, 8 expensive lots will be up for sale. Entrepreneurs responded to the call to support the lottery – Maria Vovk said. – They will be selling jewelry and themed Valentine’s products. One of the contests is the making of a camouflage net 3 to 6 meters, which we want to attract young and old to, so that people would charged the net with their warmth, good positive energy."

There will also be a humorous wedding ceremony, champagne, a photo session and an appropriate atmosphere.

Mykola Anbrokh, a co-organizer of the fest said that a lot of fun is prepared for children. The traditional contest "Golden pan" will be held. Overall, there will be a lot of prizes.

Officially the festival starts at 13.00, on Saturday, February 14. The burning of Mara and closing ceremony is planned for 18.00, February 15. The organizers also promise good weather for the weekend.
