During the first half of the year, the “Palanok” was visited by 125 thousand tourists

Every year, the number of visitors to the tourist attraction of Mukachevo – the ancient castle Palanok – is steadily growing. This is one of the places that for years has been attracting visitors not only from Ukraine, but also from Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, etc. In the first half of 2017, 124,879 people visited the monument (38,198 children, 71,818 adults, 14,863 privilegees), which is 5% more than that last year.

The Palanok enchants tourists, almost all of them want to come back here. Many interesting tourist events are held in the castle – evening tours with torches, fire shows and bike rides, strongmen compete, couples get married, cultural and artistic events with diverse programs take place here.

In the near future, an exhibition "Cast iron casting", medieval torture chamber and the "Museum of the ATO" will be opened in the Mukachevo Historical Museum, and they plan to open workshops for pottery, blacksmiths, carvers, and weavers.
