Since the introduction of new fines for driving while being drunk, drugged or under the influence of medicines, that is, since July 27, 28 drunk drivers have been caught in Transcarpathia.
Law enforcement officers have caught 14 people, who were driving their vehicles while being intoxicated, in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, and 14 – in the rest of the region.
Recall that according to Art. 130 of the CAO, driving while being drunk or drugged, if it is for the first time, shall be punishable by a fine in the amount of six untaxed minimum incomes, that is 10,200 hryvnia, with the deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one year.
Repeated offense within a year entails a fine on drivers in the amount of one thousand two hundred untaxed minimum incomes, that is 20,400 hryvnia, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of three years.
Those, who violate this law three times during 5 years, shall be punished by a fine on drivers in the amount of two thousand four hundred untaxed minimum incomes, that is 40,800 hryvnia, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of ten years.
