Due to slush build-up, some settlements in five districts of Transcarpathia have no electricity supply

Emergency crews of the "Oblenergo" promise to resume power supply by the end of the day

Wet snow and icing caused the fall of trees on transmission lines (TL) in the highlands of Transcarpathia. As a result, as of 11:00, some of the villages in Rakhiv, Tyachiv, Mizhhirya, Khust and Mukachevo districts are without electricity supply due to the breakdown of power lines. The villages of Tyachiv district Pidplesha, Tarasivka, Novoselytsia, Shyroky Luh, Uholka, Ruska Mokra and Neresnytsia were affected by the bad weather the most.

– Emergency crews of the "Oblenergo" have been working since early morning, – Hennadiy Moskal says. – Given that some residents of Transcarpathia today celebrate Christmas Eve, the repairmen plan to restore electricity supply in full by the end of the day.
