One of the main articles of expenses among students is housing fee. Due to raising energy prices, the cost of a dorm room also increases. To prevent this, the chairman of the student union Rostislav Holovchansky appealed to the management of UzhNU asking to reduce the cost to a minimum.
The rector of the university Volodymyr Smolanka together with the director of the campus Vasyl Kepych agreed with the appeal. So, starting from September residents of dormitories number 1, 2, 3 will be paying 240 UAH, dormitory number 4 – 275 UAH. It is also important that these numbers will be the same in any season, as in the previous year. Rostislav Holovchansky commented that this price is the best for students and it is lower than that in other universities (most universities of Ukraine have set the maximum size of the fee – 292 UAH per month).
"Since the amounts of scholarship do not increase, they are holding the price, because they do not want to have excess profits from the rent. And even at this price, repairs in the dorms will not stop," – the chairman of the student union says.
By the way, those, who paid 300 UAH or other amount upon arrival, will have to pay less for the next month
