Deputies will request to rename Mukachevo

At the regular session, the deputies plan to adopt the decision on the renaming of Mukacheve to Mukachevo

Due to discrepancies between the official name of the city and the records at the local level, taking into account the minutes of the public hearings on 11.03.2016, taking into account the legal position of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on State Building and Local Governments on addressing the issues of naming and renaming of settlements, at the regular session, the deputies plan to consider the issue of renaming of the city Mukacheve in Transcarpathian region to Mukachevo.

         It is also proposed to institute a petition to the Transcarpathian Regional Council on making a submission to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on renaming of the city of Mukacheve in Transcarpathian region to Mukachevo.
