Deputies of the Regional Council will ask the Ministry of Infrastructure to transfer some communal streets to state ownership

Deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council of the VІІ convocation at the second plenary meeting of the ninth session plan to adopt an appeal to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine regarding the change of the status of some highways of the region.

The draft decision on this appeal was published on the site of the Regional Council.

"Motor roads, that run from the state road H-09 Mukachevo-Rakhiv-Bohorodchany-Ivano-Frankivsk-Rohatyn-Bibirka-Lviv through Kharkivska street (1.7 km long) and Sigetska street (1.1 km long) to the International crossing point "Solotvyno – Sighetu Marmatsiei", currently belong to the roads of communal property, which are under the jurisdiction of Solotvyno town council of Tyachiv district. We, the deputies of the Regional Council, believe that this is contrary to the definition of motor roads in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Motor Roads".

The issue of changing the status of motorways from communal ownership to the state ownership is especially significant during the period of the road reform by decentralizing the management of public roads.

In order to bring the status of the motor roads of the region in line with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Motor Roads", we consider it necessary to transfer (in accordance with Article 16 of the Law of Ukraine "On Motor Roads") communal streets of the Solotvyno town council of Tyachiv district, which run from the state road H-09 Mukachevo-Rakhiv-Bohorodchany-Ivano-Frankivsk-Rohatyn-Bibirka-Lviv through Kharkivska street (1.7 km long) and Sigetska street (1.1 km long) to the international checkpoint "Solotvyno – Sighetu Marmatsiei", from communal to state ownership and subsequently add them to the list of state public roads approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine", – the deputies’ appeal states.
