Ukraine will step up measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic. This was announced on Sunday, October 11, by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health, Medical Care and Health Insurance Mykhailo Radutsky. He referred to the decisions adopted at the meeting of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky
According to Radutsky, higher education institutions are temporarily transferred to distance learning, and autumn holidays in schools will start earlier – the date will be determined by local authorities. Restrictions on the operation of catering establishments and clubs will be introduced in the “red” and “orange” quarantine zones – they will close at 22:00. According to Radutsky, this restriction applies to all mass events.
According to the deputy, in Kyiv, Odesa and Mariupol, preparations are being made for the deployment of large infectious diseases hospitals in case of overcrowding of first and second wave medical institutions. It is assumed that the hospitals will be located in the existing large premises – in Kyiv it may be the Palace of Sports.
