Customs officers seized 320 packs of cigarettes at the checkpoint “Tisa”

At the checkpoint "Tisa", customs officers seized 320 packs of cigarettes from a Ukrainian who was transported them in a Mercedec Sprinter. This was reported by the Acting Head of the Customs Office of Transcarpathia, Viktor Ivanus. It happened last night.
Customs officers found specially made caches in the minibus, and took it out of the queue for an in-depth inspection. The cigarettes were hidden in the double partition of the right and left windows of the luggage compartment of the vehicle.
Due to the violation of customs rules, the vehicle worth UAH 255 thousand and cigarettes (with the total value of UAH 14.5 thousand) were seized.
