COVID-19, Ukraine, Transcarpathia, Uzhgorod as of May 24

As of the morning of May 24:

265 Transcarpathians, who had PCR-confirmed coronavirus, have recovered 

Over the past day, 19 people have been confirmed to have coronavirus by PCR testing;

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1061 persons have been diagnosed with COVID-19, of whom 242 are health care workers, 66 are children. 

26 people with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 have died.

As of the morning of May 24, 358 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

6 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours. 

111 people have recovered  

6 persons have died.

27 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 214 are on outpatient treatment

2 Uzhgorod citizens are in self-isolation 
 
In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have made 1 visit, 6 samples of biological materials have been collected for polymerase chain reaction test. In total, since the onset of the disease, 366 visits have been made, 1870 samples of biological materials have been collected for PCR tests.

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on May 24, there have been 20986 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 617 were fatal, 7108 patients have recovered. During the day, 406 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:

Volyn region – 771 cases;  

Dnipropetrovsk region – 869 cases;  

Donetsk region – 143 cases;  

Zhytomyr region – 626 cases;  

Transcarpathian region – 1061 cases;  

Zaporizhzhya region – 410 cases;  

Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1277 cases;  
Kirovohrad region – 473 cases; 
Kyiv – 2623 cases; 
Kyiv region – 1419 cases; 
Lviv region – 1333 cases; 
Luhansk region – 43 cases; 
Mykolaiv region – 280 cases; 
Odesa region – 827 cases; 
Poltava region – 266 cases; 
Rivne region – 1417 cases; 
Sumy region – 166 cases; 
Ternopil region – 1115 cases; 
Kharkiv region – 910 cases; 
Kherson region – 177 cases; 
Khmelnytsky region – 346 cases; 
Chernivtsi region – 3028 cases; 
Cherkasy region – 388 cases; 
Chernihiv region – 129 cases.  
The tests were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of May 24, 2020, the Center has received 848 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases.
