COVID-19 in Ukraine: 6592. In Transcarpathia, there are 218 patients, including 48 healthcare workers and 10 children

Overall in the region, as of 9:00 am on April 22, 2020, 218 patients were diagnosed with COVID-19. Of these, 48 are healthcare workers and 10 are children.  

"During the past day, April 21, 390 people sought emergency medical care, 7 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia and 6 were suspected of having COVID-19," – the director of the Health Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov said.

44 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected:

13 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, includiing 5 healthcare workers;

7 people with signs of acute pneumonia, 5 persons suspected of having COVID-19 and two patients diagnosed with COVID-19 were hospitalized in health care institutions over the past day;

In total, 1,056 polymerase chain reaction tests have been performed. There have been no reported cases of COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours.

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on April 22, there have been 6592 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 174 were fatal, 467 patients have recovered. During the day, 467 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in: 
Vinnytsia region – 349 cases; Volyn region – 176 cases; Dnipropetrovsk region – 150 cases; Donetsk region – 16 cases; Zhytomyr region – 287 cases; Transcarpathian region – 218 cases; Zaporizhzhya region – 141 cases; Ivano-Frankivsk region – 589 cases; Kirovohrad region – 251 cases; Kyiv – 989 cases; Kyiv region – 390 cases; Lviv region – 274 cases; Luhansk region – 26 cases; Mykolaiv region – 82 cases; Odesa region – 148 cases; Poltava region – 116 cases; Rivne region – 353 cases; Sumy region – 86 cases; Ternopil region – 471 cases; Kharkiv region – 82 cases; Kherson region – 72 cases; Khmelnytsky region – 54 cases; Chernivtsi region – 1053 cases; Cherkasy region – 206 cases;Chernihiv region – 13 cases.  
The tests were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of April 22, 2020, the Center has received 1117 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases.
