Classes in Uzhgorod schools will start at different time

Today, during a briefing, Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv and the head of Uzhgorod City Council Education Department Natalia Mukhomedyanova spoke about the city’s schools’ readiness for the school year.
According to the mayor, more than 15,000 children will go to schools in Uzhgorod on September 1 this year.
In view of this, the city authorities had to take into account the fact that it will be difficult for everyone to get to their schools at the same time, not to mention that it is a bigger risk.
"That’s why we had to change the start time for classes – each school will decide on it individually. Some will start classes at 7.45, others – at 8.00, yet others – at 8.30, all that with the sole purpose – to avoid big crowds of children in the morning in buses", – Bohdan Andriyiv said.
The mayor asked Uzhgorod residents to be understanding about these changes, as they all come from the concern for the safety of children.
