Christmas from artists (PHOTOS)

In the gallery "Uzhgorod" in the regional center, New Year’s and Christmas holidays have already begun.

However, just in fine arts and crafts works. The "Christmas Exhibition" opened on December 22. 37 Transcarpathian artists presented 70 works.   

The exhibition features paintings, ceramics, wood carving works in different genres and styles. Winter motifs and sacred themes are prevailing, but there are also flowers and ceramic hoppers. 

The exhibition was attended by Oksana Babunych, for the first time in the capacity of the head of the newly created Department of Culture of the RSA. The head of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Borys Kuzma at the opening of the exhibition noted that the year 2017 was fruitful for the artists. A lot of interesting group and individual projects were implemented in the region, exhibitions of Transcarpathian artists in Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Chernivtsi had a wide publicity. This year, ten artists joined the Union. And the curator of the exhibition, the head of the painting section of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Vasyl Vovchok said: if you want to paint winter landscapes, go to Synevyr in Mizhhirya district. There is always snow there in the winter.
