Chop rescuers went to people!

On October 29, officers of the 7th State Fire and Rescue Unit organized an outreach campaign with the population in the open. Rescuers were walking the streets of Chop and holding preventive conversations with citizens who were going home, to work or just walking the city.

Rescuers made their route through Bereg, Pushkin, Sandor Petofi streets, Prykordonnyky lane and others. During this walks, representatives of the State Emergencies Service met with several dozen people, handed them information leaflets and explained the basic rules of safe behavior.

The main topic of conversation was the prevention of fires in autumn and winter. In particular, firefighters warned citizens against hasty action thats could result in a fire in a house or apartment. Those are, for example, network overload with household appliances, the use of illegally installed heating devices, drying clothes and putting flammable objects near fireplaces or gas stoves, children playing with fire and even smoking in bed. Finally, rescuers reminded Chop residents that in case of fire they should immediately call the rescue service 101.
