On May 21, the Transcarpathian Regional Puppet Theater hosted the concert of the children’s vocal studio "Namysto" dedicated to the 10th anniversary of its foundation.
The vocal studio of Uzhgorod district house of culture has raised over one hundred singers. Today, nearly 30 students (aged 5 to 16) receive vocal training under the supervision of the studio managers – known Transcarpathian artists Serhiy and Tetyana Rakhovsky.
The organizers responded to the question posed in the title of the concert – "What do children want?" – with a well chosen repertoire, the main theme of which was a peaceful and happy life: in every family and in all of Ukraine. Pupils of the "Namysto" masterfully performed famous folk and pop songs, original songs with lyrics by the studio managers and by Transcarpathian writers Anna Tomenyuk, Olga Tymofiyiva, Marianna Salay-Pak.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the ensemble recorded an audio CD and prepared a music compilation "Singing beads" that will soon be published with the assistance of the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
In addition, the children’s vocal group "Namysto" soon may receive the title of "exemplary". At least, the attestation commission members, who attended the concert, were able to fully appreciate the talent of the studio members, the Department of Culture of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs.
