Children’s Organ Philharmonic in the new project “Children to Children” (ANNOUNCEMENT)

Transcarpathian Organ School does not have as long history as big cities of Ukraine, but it is developing successfully and already has its own good traditions. It all began with the installation of the organ made by the famous Czech firm "Riger Kloss" (1974) in the hall of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. The further fate of this instrument is inextricably linked with the name of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalia Vysich. She founded the International Youth Music Organ Festival at the the Philharmonic which now bears the name of its founder. A major stage in the formation of organ school in Transcarpathia was the opening of the only in Ukraine organ class in the Uzhgorod Children’s Music School named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in 1985. And in 2006, the organ class was also opened in Uzhgorod State Music College.  It is in these institutions that Natalia Vysich was teaching young talents, and now her former students are doing it. One of them is the soloist of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic Katerina Hazho.

On February 25th, on the main stage of the region, Katerina Hazho’s students – Veronica Hazho, Anastasia Hrynevich, Alina Deket, Anastasia Huzynets, Oleksandra Antalovtsi, Svyatoslava-Ivanna Kovtyk, Andriy Chirsky – will show their achievements in mastering the favorite instrument.

The young performers will show the audience the richness of organ music from different schools and epochs, from the Baroque to the present.   The event will be hosted by the music historian Natalia PITSUR.

"Children’s Organ Philharmonic" is the name of this program. It is supposed to launch a new project in the regional Philharmonic under the motto "Children to Children", and parents are invited to attend such events with their children. The beginning is at 16.00.
