Children from the Czech Vysočina had a vacation in Transcarpathia

The Regional Council Chairman Volodymyr Chubirko met with the head of children’s and youth camp of the Czech Vysočina Jan Burda. Guests from Vysočina partner regions studied the conditions for vacation in children’s camps in Transcarpathia. The head of the delegation and seven pupils and students from Vysočina spent a week in the village of Bogdan in Rakhiv district.
According to Jan Burda, they studied the conditions for vacation of Czech children and they liked them, and especially the hospitality of Transcarpathians, and of course a beautiful nature. "We know from the news that the situation in Ukraine is difficult. But we will urge our fellow citizens to come here. We had a very good time here, and it is a unique area for recreation of children," – the head of the organization said.
Volodymyr Chubirko believes that already this summer they can organize children’s summer camps for Czech children in Transcarpathia and for our children in the Czech Vysočina. Last year, a delegation from Uzhgorod school №3 had the opportunity to visit Vysočina. Many facilities for recreation were organized for them. This year, as the Regional Council Chairman Volodymyr Chubirko assured, this practice will continue.
At the end of the meeting, the Regional Council Chairman organized for the guests a tour Regional Council building, built during the First Czechoslovak Republic.
