Checkpoints on the border with Slovakia will be re-opened in Transcarpathia on June 1

The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov announced the opening of checkpoints on the border with Slovakia in the region on June 1.

"We are opening checkpoints on the border with Slovakia. The Chop Border Guard Detachment reported that the following checkpoints would start operating on June 1 at 1:01 am Kyiv time (00.01 CET): Uzhgorod-Vysne Nemecke is open for cars and trucks; pedestrians and cyclists are not allowed to cross; Maly Berezny-Ubl’a – for all kind of traffic; Mali Selmentsi-Velke Slemence – for all kind of traffic from 9:00 to 21:00 Kyiv time", – Petrov wrote on his Facebook page.

The head of the regional state administration also reminded that according to the information of the Slovak party, the state of emergency related to COVID-19 is still in place in the country.

As it became known, Hungary first agreed and then canceled the opening of 4 checkpoints on the border with Transcarpathia.
