Center for Social Entrepreneurship was presented in Uzhgorod

The "Center for Social Entrepreneurship" was presented in Uzhhorod during a meeting of the "round table" "Social entrepreneurship – a new business philosophy."

The project initiator – the head of the NGO "My Transcarpathia" Natalia Stepanova – said that it is about helping participants of the ATO, IDPs, people with disabilities to find a good job or to start their own business, support and develop the business. Mrs. Natalia gave examples of successful social business, started in Lviv and Kyiv region by people who went through hell of the war in the East. She told that the survey in different parts of Transcarpathia confirm that our participants of the ATO want to work, for example, in farming, woodworking, even dentistry, but they need support and to this end, among other things, a cooperation agreement with the regional employment center was signed. 

The director of the Transcarpathian Regional Employment Center Yuriy Fuschych said that already 98 participants of the ATO had started their own business with their assistance and financial support. In general, those who want to work, have the opportunity to find a job with a good salary.  

The Chairman of the Regional Association of Employers "Zakarpattya" Volodymyr Panov believes that the authorities together with top managers must not patch the holes that appear, but create a system in which the employment issues would be regulated by the economy and market. Over the next year and a half, foreign companies in Transcarpathia plan to increase the number of employees by 8-12 thousand.

And we must think not just about how to keep our countrymen from having to work abroad, but also about attracting workers from neighboring regions to Transcarpathia. According to Panov, it is important to promote foreign investment in our region, high-tech industries, but also to create our own technologies, introduce cluster economy, build the community of enterprising citizens, – the press service of Uzhgorod city council informs.
