The repair works on Peremoha Street in Uzhgorod, commenced yesterday, continue today. Last year, the company "Olexandria Capital" worked on this section of the road, but due to failure to meet deadline, the City Council unilaterally terminated the agreement with this company and announced a new tender, which was won by the company "Antrol".
Today, at the work site, Volodymyr Babydorych, the Director of the Municipal Economy Department of Uzhgorod City Council and Volodymyr Petakh, the head of the contractor company, met with the entrepreneurs, whose establishments are located nearby. The entrepreneurs complained that because of the road blocking suppliers and customers cannot get to their shops. They agreed that while a trench for the storm drain is being dug along one part of the road, traffic on the other part will be free. The passage will be opened by the end of this week. All the works on this section of Peremoha Street are scheduled to be completed by August 1, the press service of Uzhgorod City Council informs.
