On January 05, at 09:20, the rescue service received a report of a fire on B. Khmelnitsky street in Uzhgorod Garbage in a utility room on the upper floor of the 16-storey residential building was burning, the press service of the regional office of the State Emergencies Service informs.
Firefighters of the 14th and 15th state fire and rescue units were sent at the scene to eliminate the fire. In total, 28 rescuers, 4 units of basic, 1 special and 3 units of auxiliary equipment were employed.
At 09:40, the fire was localized, at 10:07 – completely eliminated.
The cause of the fire and the material damage caused are being established. The fire destroyed debris over the area of 2 square meters.
Nobody was killed or injured during the fire.
Recall that the fire in the highest building of Uzhgorod today has become almost the main event of the day.
