Buddhism became closer to Transcarpathia

October 24th, at 19.00, in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic, there will be a lecture on "Buddhism in the Modern World: Theory and Practice." The religious and philosophical teachings of spiritual awakening, which emerged around the VI century BC in ancient India will become closer to Transcarpathians.

In the world it is believed that this is one of the world’s oldest religions that is practiced in many parts of the world. Without understanding it is impossible to understand great cultures of the East, such as Indian, Chinese, let alone the culture of Tibet and Mongolia, which are imbued with the spirit of Buddhism to their bases.

Olena Leontieva, candidate of historical sciences, professor of the history of Buddhism in the Institute of East Countries will read lectures in Uzhgorod on October 24.
