Bright country starts from Uzhgorod

Today, October 25, the participants of the I open children and youth festival of national cultures "Bright Country" were welcomed at the Uzhgorod train station, the Holos Karpat informed.

The festival aims to introduce children from the eastern, central and southern regions to rich historical and cultural heritage of Transcarpathia.

The participants of the festival are delighted with the trip to Western Ukraine.

"This is a great opportunity for us to meet with peers from all over Ukraine, to see new cities and find something interesting," – the participant from Odesa Angelica said.

October 25 (Saturday) is the opening day of the festival.

From 14:30 to 15:15, at the main railway station, there was a concert "Uzhgorod welcomes" with participation of orchestras and instrumental ensembles, vocalists, taking part in the festival, who welcomed other participants arriving to the festival.

From 16:30 to 17:15, there will be a solemn procession of festival participants and opening ceremony on Teatralna square.

At 18:00, everyone will be able to attend a theatrical performance in the "Uzhgorod castle" and enjoy the spectacular fire show.

October 26 (Sunday) 

The competition day with 2 competition areas: choreography in the Transcarpathian Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity. Vocal and instrumental competition will take place in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic.   Both contests start at 11:00. 

October 27 (Monday) 

The day of workshops, excursions, creative meetings with jury, an artistic event in the village of Pyiterfolvo aimed at a creative exchange between groups of the village and festival participants from the eastern regions, working in the genres of folk art, who will bring their performances to the festival. 

October 28 (Tuesday)   

At 10:00, there will be a press conference of the organizing committee on the results of the festival.

From 12:00 to 15:00, there will be a Gala concert and awarding of participants on the stage of the Transcarpathian Regional State Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater.
