Yesterday, November 22, in the large concert hall of philharmonic the Variety Brass Band under the direction of Honored Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Spivak gathered spectators to "Autumn pun." That is how the musicians together with soloists – winner of international competitions Miroslava Shvakh-Pekar, István Kekerchen and Victor Babuk – decided to name their new concert.
Usually a pun has comic effect and presents contrast of the content. So it has to strike with unexpected comparisons. Regarding the program of the concert – according to its idea, artists entertained their listeners with serious classics, compositions from famous films, tango, romances, and jazz. With such a selection of hits they have achieved absolutely true musical pun and again received in return a barrage of applause from the appreciative audience!
And this week, Nov. 28, by numerous requests of spectators at 18.30 the Symphony Orchestra (conductor – Victoria Svalyavchyk-Tsanko) invites to "Musical Hit Parade "HOLLYWOOD" at Philharmonic, where they perform well-known soundtracks from popular Hollywood movies.
