Border guards of the Chop detachment detained a Ukrainian with dual citizenship

A female citizen of Ukraine following from Slovakia to Ukraine attempted to illegally cross the state border.

Thus, during the passport control at the international checkpoint "Uzhgorod", our compatriot decided to use a Hungarian travel passport. However, during the document check, it was found out that under the passport of a citizen of Hungary, the woman had exceeded the limit of stay on the territory of Ukraine and had not paid the fine on time. But later, during questioning, she confessed that she was a citizen of Ukraine and presented a Ukrainian passport. Thus, our compatriot violated the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Citizenship of Ukraine" and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On approval of the procedure for state border crossing by citizens of Ukraine."

As a result, administrative and procedural documents were drawn up against the offender. The decision on legal liability and her further fate will be taken by the court.
