Two paintings, which may have a cultural or historical value and belong to a world-famous Austrian artist, were found today in the afternoon by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment.
The border guards, together with customs officers, found the paintings among the parcels, that were being transported in a bus returning to Ukraine and driven by our compatriot.
During the inspection of this bus, 2 paintings of the above-mentioned artist were found. The paintings are belived to be from the collection "Flower Still Lifes" by Austrian artist Joseph Nigg.
The paintings were seized and sent for examination, which will establish their origin.
