At the railway crossing "Chop (Strazh)", Chop border guards detained a foreigner who was trying to enter the EU with a forged passport. The woman was traveling by the train "Odesa-Uzhgorod".
She presented the border guards, who were checking the passengers’ documents in the train, a passport issued in the name of a citizen of France. However, when checking the said document, the border guards found out that it was forged. In particular, the page with constituent data had been replaced. Also marks of the State Border Guard Service about crossing the state border at the checkpoint "Borispol" had been forged.
According to the woman, she is a citizen of Congo. She was apprehended and placed in a detention center for identification and clarification of the circumstances of the offense. The forged passport was seized and handed over to representatives of the National Police in Transcarpathian region.
