Border guards detained a Ukrainian who was going to Slovakia with other person’s passport

Yesterday, at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", border guards of the Chop detachment detained a citizen of Ukraine, who tried to cross the state border of Ukraine with a document that did not belong to the bearer, thus violating Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine "On the State Border of Ukraine".

While checking the documents of a 51-year-old citizen of Ukraine en route to Slovakia, law enforcement officers found out that the passport provided for control was listed as lost or stolen in the database of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Note that this database of the State Border Guard Service allows to quickly establish and exchange information on stolen and lost documents.

During the subsequent interview, the Ukrainian said that he had no visa to enter the territory of Slovakia, so he took the document that he had found in the city of Uzhgorod.

Currently, our compatriot was demied crossing the state border and case materials on administrative offense have been prepared.
