The first in this year suicide occured in the 16-storey building on Svoboda Avenue in Uzhgorod. This building is notorious in the city for "attracting" suicides.
At night, on January 2, a paramedic reported to the police that near the 16-storeyed building he had stated death of a young man.
The investigative team of Uzhgorod city police arrived at the scene. The body of the victim was laying on the ground a few meters from the entrance to the house. The suicide was a 19-year-old resident of Uzhgorod.
According to his mother, her son recently had conflicts with his 15-year-old girlfriend. The latter told law enforcement officers that on the day of the tragedy, the guy had come to her place about 11 pm, was behaving improperly, and then left to an unknown destination. As it turned out, he went to the 16-storeyed building…
The police are establishing the circumstances of the young man’s suicide, the site of the regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed.
