As we reported, in July 2016, patriotically minded bikers of Ukraine held the first motorcycle race from Uzhgorod to Chongar. The main objective of the event was to demonstrate the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the unity of its multinational society.
This year, motorcyclists have decided to continue this tradition, but to make it much more extensive.
On July 23, 2018, at 10:00, the new motorcycle ride will start from Teatralna Square in Uzhgorod. Importantly, the participants of the motorcycle rally will use only the national flags of Ukraine and Crimean Tatar national flags. No party or any other symbols!
The route of the rally will run through the following cities and on the following days:
July 23: Uzhgorod – Stryi – Ivano-Frankivsk – Lviv
July 24: Lviv – Ternopil – Khmelnytsky – Vinnytsia
July 25: Vinnytsya – Zhytomyr – Korostyshiv – Kiev
July 26: Kyiv – Poltava – Dnipro
July 27: Dnipro – Pokrovske – Volnovakha – Mariupol
July 28: Mariupol – Berdyansk – Melitopol – Chongar – Zaporizhzhya.
One of the Transcarpathian organizers of the event, Igor "Afgan", told that this year about 150 motorcyclists are expected to take part. In addition, a minibus with volunteers will join the rally.
– We will also go to the war zone, – Igor told us, – we will bring gifts to the soldiers. Among the bikers, there are many combatants, who have already been demobilized. In addition, in Chongar, a local community of Crimean Tatars, who were displaced from their land, will prepare a great feast for us. Our position is the same since the first race: Ukraine is undivided, and temporarily occupied Crimea is its integral part.
So, everyone can be present at the start of the race. We remind you – on July 23 at 10:00 on Teatralna Square.
