Avakov reported about the arrest of billions on accounts of Yanukovych and the “Family”

The Minister of Internal Arsen Avakov reported about the arrest of 6 billion hryvnias and 3.8 billion dollars on the accounts of the former President Yanukovych and his "Family".

He wrote that on his page on Facebook.

"Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Justice made in the Parliament minor amendments that remove bureaucratic obstacles for the trial of Yanukovych and Co. in correspondence mode, in order to return to the budget of Ukraine the arrested assets of the "Family." The assets stolen from the people ", – the Minister said.

According to him, apart from assets in real estate and shares in companies, the arrested monetary assets (money on the accounts and in marketable securities) amount to 2 billion dollars abroad, and 1.8 billion dollars and 6 billion hryvnias in the country.

Avakov also said that this amount is more than the approved budget of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard for 2015.
